Saturday marks the beginning of this year’s bowl season with 34 bowl games being played between Saturday and January 6, when Auburn and Florida State meet in the BCS Championship.
Between now and then my column will feature my picks on the week’s games with this disclaimer: Do not in any way bet what I pick because more than likely I’ll pick the wrong team.
Having said that, let’s get to it.
Saturday’s four games will see: Washington State pass by Colorado State in an interesting New Mexico Bowl, Fresno State upset USC in the Las Vegas Bowl, San Diego State edge Buffalo in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, and Lafayette nudge Tulane in the New Orleans Bowl.
Monday night the 23rd, East Carolina will run by Ohio in the Beef O’ Brady’s Bowl and on Christmas Eve Boise State will slip by Oregon State in the Hawaii Bowl.
These six games will just whet a football fan’s appetite because 22 games will be played during the week of December 26th to January 2nd.
