Keith Byrd Drake, 69, of Quincy, Florida passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, in Tallahassee, Florida. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 22, 2013, from 4pm to 6pm at the Gadsden Historical Society, 304 W. King Street, Quincy, Florida. The memorial service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11:00 am at Bible Believers Fellowship, Tallahassee, Florida.
Mr. Drake was born on June 30, 1944 in Miami, Florida; the son of the late Byron Keith Drake and Beulah Remley Drake of Hazelhurst, Georgia. He retired from the State of Florida Public Defenders office after serving as an investigator for 33 years. He loved his family. He loved his dogs and cats. He enjoyed watching college football and baseball. He always had a new joke and a smile.
He is survived by; his wife, Martha Ekermeyer-Drake of Quincy, Florida; his three children, Kevin Drake (wife Jennifer), Allison Drake-Baker (husband Chris), and Rick Drake all of Tallahassee, Florida; one grandson, Ricky Drake; one sister, Adrienne Taylor (husband Mike) of Simpsonville, South Carolina; one beloved best friend black lab, Jackson.
