Former Midway police chief Terron Linsey was found guilty last week for official misconduct and petit theft.
Lindsey was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 36 months probation for the misconduct charge.
For the petit theft charge he received 90 days in jail and six months probation.
The two sentences will run concurrently.
He must pay court costs and report to the county jail on October 15, by 5 P.M.
The convictions stem from Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s charges that Lindsey falsified official documents pertaining to his employment as police chief and used one of the city's credit cards to purchase a personal item.
