Ruby McPherson Bentley, 95, of Sycamore, Florida, died August 23, 2013, at River Chase Care Center in Quincy, Florida. Mrs. Bentley was born July 29, 1918, in Greensboro, Florida to Henry and Lillie (Gatlin) McPherson.
She enjoyed quilting and making beautiful keepsakes for her children and grandchildren. She also made quilts for church fundraisers and for many people in the community.
She is survived by; one son, Alan Bentley (Janie) of Tallahassee; and two daughters, Janet Kever (Terry) of Greensboro and Nancy Pope (Craig) of Sneads. She is also survived by five grandchildren; John Bentley (Amy), Audrey Littlefield (Alex), Nathan Kever (Renee), Brian Kever, Rachel Dietz (David) and eight great grandchildren; Elizabeth and Jacob Kever, Blair and Bryce Bentley, Makayla and Blake Littlefield and Ridge and Braicee Dietz.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charlie Bentley.
Services were Monday, August 26, 2013, at 11:00AM, with visitation from 10:00 until service time, at Sycamore United Methodist Church. Interment was at Sycamore Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sycamore United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
