Quincy firefighters joined the city police to file an official grievance against the city. The following week firefighter representative Stoney Hall said the firefighters were backing away, but the police indicated they would continue with the grievance. The grievance took place after the city failed to buy back unused portions of 10 holidays received by both policemen and firemen. The police union PBA demanded the city honor its contract while city manager Willie Earl Banks said the city couldn’t afford it.
