WTXL-TV brought their summer road trip to Havana on Friday, starting the day before dawn at Tomato Café and Tea Room. Owner Cheryl Moore happily opened up early to cook breakfast and show off her wares, including her specialty, tomato pie. TV news anchor Kellie Bartoli was visibly amazed upon hearing what all went into the pie, including 22 tomatoes diced for each two pies baked. The man responsible for bringing Havana back to life in the mid 1980s died after a lengthy fight with cancer. Thomas Keith Henderson, 58, of Havana and St. George Island, died at Hospice House in Tallahassee. Henderson, owner of H&H Antiques,changed the face of Havana when he bought a block of vacant buildings in 1984 with his partner and wife, Lee Hotchkiss, and turned them, along with three other pioneering entrepreneurs, into attractive antique shops and galleries.
