School Superintendent Reginald James wasn’t shouting the news from rooftops, but he was pretty close. Several Gadsden County schools got much higher ratings from the state Department of Education in their Writing portion of the 2005 FCAT, and two of the most improved were Havana and Gretna Elementary Schools. “We’re working on what I believe is our potential. Everybody has worked so hard to make gains; teachers and staff, students, they’ve all worked so hard,” said James.
