You know how kids can ask a million questions? Well, here are some obvious (silly) questions that most of us take for granted – or hardly think about. They remind me of a kid going on and on and on, except these are grown-up questions. I got them from a friend who asks a lot of questions.
For Americans it was a minor happening, but for those of us born in the British Isles, the possible secession of Scotland was a big deal. I’m Welsh and English. Wales is a small nation that is part of the UK. Unlike Scotland where Gaelic is seldom heard, Wales has its own commonly spoken language, street signs are bilingual so that the moment you pass the sign that says Croeso y Cymru, you realize you’re not in England any more. There is a strong sense of nationality.

10 YEARS AGO
With ribs and tacos simmering in the yard, TCC’s Quincy House opened with great fanfare in downtown Quincy. The community college was re-establishing a presence in Gadsden County to assist both educational and economic needs. A large crowd was on hand to hear TCC President Bill Law talk about resources the college would be bringing to Gadsden County. [Full Story »]
Governor Rick Scott signed a death warrant Monday for Chadwick Dewellyn Banks who fatally shot his wife Cassandra and then raped and shot to death his 10-year-old stepdaughter in Gadsden County in 1992.
