Almost $80,000 in fraudulent checks showed up at the bank account for East Gadsden High, according to a report from the sheriff’s office. “These checks don’t even look like the checks we use,” said School Superintendent Sterling DuPont. “Using a computer, somebody simply made up the checks and deposited them.” Five checks, totaling $78,880, were made out to several people and an Atlanta company.
