Joan Marie Durden, 72, of Havana, passed peacefully in her home on June 11, 2015, ending a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary (Morenzi) Migliorelli. Joan grew up in Cranston, RI. She moved to Jacksonville in 1967 and then moved to the Tallahassee area in 1970. Joan was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church for many years. She enjoyed crafts and fishing, but was happiest when cooking and baking.
Survivors include her husband: Lee Adrian Durden; daughter: Lisa M. Early of Havana; son: Jamie Will (Carolee) of Havana; sister: Gloria P. (Raymond) Alexander of Marston Mills, MA; twin brother: Frank A. (Donna) Migliorelli of Cranston, RI; granddaughter: Deanna M. Early of Havana; nephew: Mark D. (Jana) Alexander of Ponte Vedra, FL; and niece: Karen B. (Joseph) Boghdadi of Lexington, SC.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to all the friends and family members who provided prayers, emotional support and meals during this difficult time. The family would also like to thank Big Bend Hospice for all the support and care they provided.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Louis Catholic Church, Tallahassee on Friday, 6/20 at 10:00 AM. Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL is in charge of services.
