U.S. Representative Al Lawson grew up in Gadsden County, and so I would assume he knows about the lives of many immigrants and farmworkers. After all, Gadsden County is one of the most immigrant-heavy counties in North Florida, and many of those immigrants work long, hard hours to put food on our tables. Now, it seems we have a president who wants to deport all of the immigrants, even those who are childhood arrivals.
Simply put, we cannot let that happen. There's a bill in Congress, the BRIDGE Act that will protect childhood arrivals under the DACA program from being deported and give them a life in this country. Representative Lawson represents Gadsden County, and he must protect the immigrants here from President Trump's faulty immigration policy.
Call Al Lawson's office, and ask him to cosponsor the BRIDGE Act for the immigrants of Gadsden County (U.S. Representative Al Lawson: 202-225-0123).
