By Jan Rogers,
This is a Thanksgiving more fraught than most. Many families are divided over the election, not slightly – very. Old friends no longer speak to each other. We’re not used to this, but it’s not new. Americans take their politics seriously and in the past, blood has been shed between erstwhile friends over matters of politics. Congressmen have beaten each other insensible. Being a sore loser and an ungracious winner are as American as the pumpkin pie we’ll be enjoying on Thursday.
