John Louis Caracci, Jr., was born November 14, 1945, in Rochester, NY to Jean (Barbato) and John Louis Caracci, Sr. He had one brother, Richard "Dickie."
At 18 years old John was drafted into the Army, was in for two years and was a clerk typist. He has owned a security business, two motorcycle shops in the Ft. Lauderdale area, and has been a subcontractor, with Cook King Ovens and Broilers, Cook King, Inc. In La Mirada, CA, where as self-employed, he handled business trips around the world for almost forty years.
He was president of Board of Directors of Lake Talquin Hideaway HOA, former vice-president. John is survived by his mother, Jean, of Henrietta, NY; a brother, Richard and his partner Shelly; his wife, Dolores Louise (Phillips); and a daughter, Jennifer. He also leaves three stepchildren, Laura (Russ), Danielle (Kurt), and Stanton. John also leaves behind many friends and business partners, Craig Miller and Richard Naess, and Phil Benoit, who he loved as a son. He leaves friends from all over the world, but the closest are the Garza family of Whitehouse, TX. Gus and Marina, along with their children, Amanda, Adrienne, Angela, and "Little" Gus considered John as part of their family, and the children called him Uncle John.
There will be a celebration of John's life at the Garzas' home, which date and time will later be announced.
