Coach Jayme Williams has his Munroe baseball team off to a good start with a 7-0 record.
Included in those wins are victories over 4A Florida High and 5A Wakulla, which is quite a feat for a 2A school.
This could be an interesting week for the Bobcats. They hosted Aucilla on Tuesday and will host Tallavana tonight (Thursday). Tomorrow they play at always-tough Brookwood in Thomasville.
Franklin County will come to Mt. Pleasant on Monday for a game.
TO AN END
The regular season for college men’s basketball will end up Sunday.
Florida State hosts Syracuse in what could be a very important game as far as the Seminoles’ post-season play is concerned. A win could put them in the NCAA Tournament especially if FSU could add some ACC Tournament wins.
Florida ends their regular season Saturday hosting Kentucky. An undefeated SEC season could be on the line if Florida got by South Carolina Tuesday night. What would be real icing on the cake would be a series sweep over the Wildcats, which is a rarity for an SEC team.
‘NOLES OFF TO A
Mike Martin and his Florida State Seminole baseball team look headed for another fine season.
The Tribe is in the class-bunch of the ACC and the nation once again and Seminole fans are filling the stadium and enjoying themselves.
Florida seems to be struggling again and their season is definitely a question mark.
They had a losing season last year and the SEC seems pretty loaded again this year, so a winning season is not a given especially the way the Gators have played early.
I really believe that Florida, Florida State and Miami should never have a losing record with the high school talent we have in this state.
