Venancio Alfonzo Garciga’s life began February 12, 1944, in Havana, Cuba, born to the now late Venancio Garciga and Mercedes Alfonzo.
On February 4, 2014, he was called from his earthly home to be with the Lord.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Garciga of Sinai, Florida; nephews, Hugo R. Carballeira of Grand Ridge, Florida, and Jorge L. Rodriguez of Miami, Florida; a sister, Rosa Garciga and other family members from Cuba; stepchildren Bkines Johnon, Catherine Bell, Willie (Patricia) Williams, Eddie Williams, Willa Mae Pittman, Ella Mae Livingston, Lisa (Louis) Perry, Isaac Tyrone (Lori) Livingston, and James Lamar Livingston, all of Jackson County, Florida; a host of grandchildren, other relatives and dear friends.
A Homegoing Celebration of Love was held Monday, February 10, at Sneads Pentecostal Holiness Church, in Sneads, with Apostle Geraldine Sheard officiating. Interment followed in Sinai Cemetery, in Sneads.
Crawford & Moultry Funeral Home, Chattahoochee, was in charge of arrangements.
