The county commission approved a plan to cut the number of dump sites currently in operation from six to five (one in each district) and hiring two part-time workers to man the sites four hours a day on an alternating schedule. The plan would cut the annual cost to $113,000. The present sites were costing the county about $22,000 a month, or about $264,000 a year. The new plan also called for a $25 annual fee in the form of a sticker for resident access.
