Mrs. Annie Lou Lambert, affectionately known to all her friends as “Ms. Annie”, 86, of Havana, FL., went to be with Jesus Monday, December 16, 2013, at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Ms. Annie was born and raised in Gadsden County. She worked in retail sales and managed the S&H Green Stamp store in Tallahassee for 20 years. She retired to work in her flowers and garden, and for the past 4 years sold homemade jams and jellies and produce at the Saturday Market in the Downtown Tallahassee Park. She is a member of the Fresh Fire Worship Center in Tallahassee.
Ms. Annie is survived by; her son, John William Cox, of Havana; her companion of 17 years, Harley Odell Bennett; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Ms. Annie was aunt to a host of nieces and nephews and many, many friends who loved her dearly. We are saddened by our loss of this wonderful lady, however, we are happy to know that she will be spending her first Christmas with Jesus.
The family will receive friends at the McClellan Funeral Home, 15 S Jackson Street, Quincy, on Thursday, December 19, 2013, from 5-7PM. A graveside service will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, FL on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 11AM.
