Sheriff Morris Young walked from the Gadsden County line in Chattahoochee to the county line at the Ochlockonee River last Friday (approximately 34 miles) to raise awareness of breast cancer, especially among men.
There have been a number of male breast cancer diagnoses in Gadsden County over the past few years.
Last week Annie Berry spoke at a press conference saying that she had lost a son to breast cancer.
A number of people walked with Sheriff Young along the way.
Sheriff Young stated that this walk was personal to him as well having family members who have battled cancer.

As a male breast cancer survivor, educator and journalist, living in Tallahassee, I am intertested in what you said as a "number of males." What does this mean? How many? It may suggest a pattern. I am one of 88 that served in the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune that contacted the horrific disease. Please be back in touch. Many thanks. God bless.
