The Robert F. Munroe Day School held a September 11th ceremony last Wednesday morning in honor of all of those who perished on that day in 2001.
RFM board chairman Frank Allman spoke to the student body, staff and visitors about the terrible tragedy that occurred 12 years ago. Allman said that each year he has made it a point to learn about someone who died on that day.
To help him not forget about that day, Allman told the audience that he wears a wrist band with the date on it.
I think about September 11, 2001 each time I see the wrist band, he said.
Local Boy Scout Troop 201 raised a new American Flag at the ceremony that was lowered to half mast to honor those slain on September 11, 2001.
