Midway city manager Auburn Ford was sentenced Thursday morning to 90 days (minus 8 days already served) in the county jail and one year of community service.
Ford, a convicted felon was sentenced by circuit Judge Jonathan Sjostrom, for a Violation Of Probation (VOP) concerning a firearm in his possession according to a court document received by The Herald.
Agents found the firearm while executing a search warrant at Ford’s home. The search warrant was part of a separate on-going investigation by FDLE and the FBI that included the City of Midway.
The unfulfilled conditions of his original probation were reimposed, the document stated.
It is noted on the document as well, that Ford can not possess a firearm.
