JAGUAR TEAMS CONTINUE WINNING WAYS:
Three Lady Jags scored in double figures as the East Gadsden girls’ basketball team warmed up for their Holiday Tournament this weekend at TCC. Deondra Harris led all scorers with 17 points but also got double figures support from Bittles and Gaymon with 10 points each. The team is now one win from double figures with a 9-3 record. ALL COUNTY FOOTBALL:
The All County football team is impressive and our county has some talented players and coaches. The team is not as proliferate as it once was when there were five county teams playing high school football – Shanks, Chattahoochee, Havana, Munroe and Greensboro. With that many teams, it was easier to select both an Offensive Player of the Year and a Defensive Player of the Year. Back then, there was also a Coach of the Year. [Full Story »]
Last year the West Gadsden Panther basketball team made it all the way to the FHSAA Class 1-A championship game using an outside game. This year it’s pretty much a reversal for the Greensboro-based school.

The East Gadsden Jaguars boys’ basketball team won their first two games of the season, disposing of Jefferson County 68-29 Friday and Hamilton County 68-51 Saturday with both wins coming on the road. [Full Story »]

Munroe junior setter Maddelyn Pappadakis was named to a very competitive All Big Bend Team. Pappadakis earned second team honors after accumulating 296 assists, 121 kills and 78 digs. Earning honorable mention for the Lady Cats were Karleebeth Perkins and Katie Howell. [Full Story »]
