The proposed sell-off of state-owned conservation land has raised more than a few hackles. Ostensibly this sell-off will raise millions that can then be spent on more endangered and critical real estate. A piece in this newspaper and a few weeks later in the Tallahassee Democrat, produced a fair amount of reaction in the form of emails from as far away at Jefferson County. Without exception those who emailed me were against selling off these “surplus” lands.
